What is B&A Firewood?

Local, family-run firewood and smokeless fuel delivery service for homes across Cheshire. Order online or via WhatsApp with convenient pay-on-delivery options.

You pay the driver on delivery — cash or card (contactless). There's no online payment on our site at all. No card details, no PayPal, nothing to pay until your logs arrive.

What if I'm not in when you deliver?

Just tell us at checkout where to leave them — 'round the back by the shed, gate code 1234' is fine. Tick the 'leave in a safe place' box and we'll do exactly that. We'll also text you when the driver is on his way.

Can you tip the logs down my drive?

Yes — for our tipped loose loads (half, full and double loads), we tip at the kerbside or on your drive. For bagged logs, we can barrow them to your log store. Just tell us where you want them in the 'where should we tip them?' box at checkout.

How much is in a jumbo bag, really?

Our jumbo builder's bags hold approximately 0.75 m³ of logs — a proper full bag, not loosely filled. A large barrow bag holds approximately 0.4 m³. The exact volume is shown on each product.

Do you deliver in bad weather?

We deliver in most weather, but if it's properly dangerous — snow, ice, flooding — we'll text you to rearrange. Safety first, for our driver and your drive.

Is there a minimum order?

There's no strict minimum, but delivery fees may apply to smaller orders depending on your zone. Check your postcode to see your delivery zone and any thresholds.

Can I collect from the yard?

Yes — you're welcome to come to the yard in Haslington during opening hours (Mon–Sat, 7am–5pm). Give us a ring first so we've got what you need ready.

What's your returns policy?

If there's a problem with your order, let us know within 14 days and we'll sort it — whether that's a top-up, a swap or a refund. As a distance sale, you also have the statutory 14-day cancellation right. See our Terms for the full detail.

What's the difference between kiln-dried, barn-dried and seasoned?

Kiln-dried logs are dried in our kiln for a consistent, efficient burn. Barn-dried logs are dried in our barn for around 18 months — slow, natural drying. Seasoned logs are stacked and left to dry in the open air. All three give you dry, ready-to-burn wood — the difference is the drying method and speed.

Do you deliver on Sundays?

No — Sundays are our day off. We deliver Tuesday to Saturday. Next-day delivery is usually available if you order before 4pm.
